"Hats Off To The Bull"
The Story Thus Far
Twenty years ago on this day, the villain known as Kestrel met his demise and The War of Hate was ended. However, along with his defeat, a kingdom was broken. Temboria, The Land of The Bull, was a relatively young kingdom full of proud and stalwart people until it had it’s royal family torn asunder by the machinations and betrayals of Kestrel. With no king and no living heir, the nobles and landowners immediately began vying for power despite the multiple threats against the land and it’s people. Even the intervention of Temboria’s northern neighbors, The Golgothan Empire, could not sufficiently deter those who would seek the crown of fallen King Melajavik. The fate of the Land of The Bull remains in question as Humans(broken by internal conflict), Elves (who face squabbling amongst their own kind as well), The forces of the Undead, and two competing factions of Hordefolk all seek to claim Temboria as their own.
The Elves of Laslolari have reached a boiling point. Due to the very real problems with pirate raiders, the violent skirmishes with the Humans in Temboria, and the recent actions of the Lord-King as well as the Noble Houses. This leaves the Archmage to do his best to keep all sides placated and avoid a civil war. Many of the Elven people feel it is far past time for them to take back their stewardship of Dacia, starting with Temboria (or Ry’athaleal as it is known to the Elves). Some feel as if it is already far too late and that they should become even more insular and concerned only with their own kind, especially considering the threat the raiders present to Laslolari itself. Still others believe that politics be damned, the undead march in armies as do the Hordefolk, and the Elves of the Green are left to fend for themselves and none of this is acceptable. As a whole, the only thing the First People can agree on is that the Lord-King’s recent edict decreeing that The Poria are to be accepted as full citizens of the Elven Nation is absolutely abhorrent. It is unclear what will happen next with the Elves of Lasolari as the nation holds it’s breath in dreaded anticipation for the inevitable spilling of blood.
The Elven heroes who had formerly made up the first Silver Pack in recent history, had been sent out once more by The Lord-King. This time the heroes were to track down their successors, known now as The Tarnished Ones, who had gone mad, and deal with them accordingly. Upon successfully finding and eliminating both the wizard Shayolowyn Adairion and the bard Yasilar Talaviir, the heroes found themselves trapped in a strange underground arena in an unknown location, unsure of how to get free. It was then, that The Archmage appeared and teleported the heroes back to Laslolari, once more at the behest of The Lord-King.
